Jonathan Perinetti
Software Engineer
I am a software engineer with exposure to both frontend and backend development. I have a strong background in mathematics and extensive experience in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, and C++. I am skilled in web development using HTML, CSS, and React, as well as backend development using Node, Express, MongoDB, and SQL. I have also had exposure to machine learning, data analysis, and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciKit Learn.
Here are some of the technologies, concepts, and programming languages I've worked with:

In addition to coding, I've always enjoyed having a variety of hobbies.
I love reading about many topics, but in particular history and biographies. My favorite periods to explore are the Classical Era (Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome) and World War II. Two of my favorite biographies are George Lucas: A Life and Einstein's Dream.
Even after studying the subject for so long, it amazes me how fundamental and powerful it is. Nature has so many patterns to discover, and mathematics is the tool that allows us to see them.
One of my greatest joys in life is breaking down difficult concepts and communicating ideas clearly and effectively. I think this is especially important in technical fields, which is a big reason I became a mathematics professor.
I enjoy seeing new places and taking photos to remember them with. Please click here to view a photo gallery of some places I've visited!
I've taken a number of classes on what I call "civilian emergency care." Whether it's a hiking injury, a car accident, or something else, we should always be prepared to help each other out.
I'm a big fan of relaxing to a good movie. I like almost any genre, from sci-fi and fantasy epics (Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings) to historical drama (Gladiator, Master and Commander, Memphis Belle) to comedy.
